Working on a much larger scale introducing curved folds and weaving really created some challenges. These experiments bring problems as the folds fight against each other, care and attention is needed at this point in order to find a compromise. The paper holds a memory when it is folded and creased, valleys and mountains can be reversed, however folds on top of folds going in different directions are harder to control. I aim to work towards a solution to this problem. The folds create wonderful changes in how the light falls on the paper, the dark part on the bottom right below the curved crease, was lifted by weaving images of another silo through the paper. Perhaps some of these discoveries will be used going forward, or may be used in other ways to develop new work.
