In Eva Stenrams series Drape she uses appropriated images from the 50s and 60s. These are then digitally manipulated to conceal part of the original image. This then gives new meaning to the work. By covering certain parts the viewer is guided to ask questions about what is no longer in sight. I am very engaged with this concept in my own work, although my message is more concerned with memory. Digital alteration has not really engaged me fully before, however having seen this work I am inspired to make some experiments in the area. Experimentation drives my work in new directions, so I do embrace those trials.
