Disrupting surfaces

New work this week in this black and white fold. The past week got me thinking about colour, and if it confuses images. If a series of typology images need to be black and white? Does this lead to the folded images being in black and white too?

Almudena Romero made many chlorophyll prints using leaves. I decided after the Texas freeze that this might be a good experiment. The only suitable leaves that I could find were the leaves of this plant. One of the only plants to survive the extreme weather, it is called the Cast Iron plant for this reason. Being able to survive the Texas heat is one thing, being able to survive the extreme freeze is another.
