Capturing Memories

This week I have been experimenting with resin. The aim was to capture the silo images and the folds. This is a time consuming, toxic process. I persevered, working with gloves and a mask in a well ventilated room. Some of these have bubbles in them, this is just a thing that happens when working with resin. You can use a heat gun to eliminate these, however this can release more toxic fumes and of course the folds would burn.

The difficulty was to try and get some good photographs of the objects. The reflections are interesting, but can be distracting in a photograph. The objects themselves are really beautiful, so I feel that they would be good objects to install within a gallery space.
