This week has been spent trying to figure out how to install and record these kusudama origami pieces. I am not sure that this is resolved yet, since when I find myself at this point it is helpful for me to leave this work alone for a while, work on something else and come back to it later. That later maybe next month, or next year, depending on what the something else brings.
Having said that, this work did bring with it some interesting things that will need to be explored. These migratory origami pieces photograph well, as they throw fascinating shadows that remind me of runic writing. This drew me to research Ogham, as this could be a really rewarding way forward if I can find a way to bring these elements together.
Whilst it can be challenging to arrive at this stage, I have to remind myself how I usually work through this time, experiment and learn from those tests and trials.
